National Dialogues in Jyväskylä

Pieni ryhmä keskustelee kohtaamispaikka Piippurannan Klubilla

The National Dialogues is a nationwide series of events that invites a wide range of people and communities to organise their own dialogues. The City of Jyväskylä participates annually in the event series and organises local dialogues.

The series is repeated every autumn and spring with a new theme. A compiled summary of the dialogues is produced for use by central government and municipalities, and it is also published on the National Dialogues website.

The series is coordinated by DialogiAkatemia, Opintokeskus Sivis, Sitra, the Municipality of Tuusula, the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Ministry of Finance.

Through the National Dialogues, shared understanding of different societal phenomena, challenges, and opportunities is built in cooperation between citizens, communities, and public authorities. The aim of the National Dialogues is to provide people in Finland with opportunities to come together and engage in constructive and open discussions on topics that are important to them.
