Applying for day-care and pre-school education

Applications for a day-care place can be submitted all year round. The application must be submitted no later than four months before the day care is needed. In urgent cases – or when a parent is seeking a study place, in which case the start date of the need for day care cannot be predicted – the application must be submitted no later than two weeks before the child needs a place in day care.

Day-care applications

Electronic application: you can access electronic services. 
You can also print the day-care application. Application forms are also available at the Service Centre and from day-care centres.
The application process for club activities and pre-primary education is similar to the day-care application process.

For private day-care, You can access the electronic services or print the application for service voucher.

Families are informed about day-care placements no later than two weeks before the date the day care is due to start.
