Taideapteekki - culture for the elderly

Kino Hopea is a series of daytime screenings aimed at elderly audiences, featuring high-quality new releases, thrilling classics, and topical documentaries. The screenings are held at Kino Aurora once a month on Fridays.

Tickets for screenings are € 10, tickets can be reserved on the Kino Aurora website. Ticket reservations open about a month before the screening.

Jyväskylän tanssiopisto: Art dance workshop

Photographer Keijo Penttinen – Presentation of Finnish nature

Wellbeing Afternoons bring short informational sessions related to promoting health and wellbeing to nearby areas. At some of the events, it is possible to receive low-threshold guidance from a nurse at the Senior Wellbeing Clinic. The events are organized by the Central Finland Welfare Region, the City of Jyväskylä, and the Jyväskylä church community 

Wellbeing Afternoons are regularly organised in different parts of Jyväskylä: in Vaajakoski, Palokka, Säynätsalo, Korpilahti, Kuokkala and Kangas.

Nature Gives You Strength – Nature Day for Seniors

The History and Allure of Drag Culture & Sing-Along

Come enjoy some fun, sing-along, and a deeper look into the history of drag culture. The event will feature performances by the amazing artists Tina, Carrie, and Aurora from the Tampere Queens. At the event, you'll also hear about activities geared toward LGBTQ+ seniors. The event is organized by Taideapteekki, part of the City of Jyväskylä’s Cultural Services, and Jyväskylä's SETA ry as part of Jyväskylä Pride Week.

Viljami Ortju, Mataran Markkinat

Mataran Markkinat (The Matara Market) is an atmospheric autumn evening event open to everyone in Tourula, Jyväskylä. The event will also feature a performance by Viljami Ortju at 6:00 p.m. The set list is packed with timeless songs from across the decades. The music includes works by Rauli Badding Somerjoki, Olavi Uusivirta, and Tuure Kilpeläinen, among others.

Songs for Father/Daughter Concert

This unique concert brings together a father and daughter— actor Aaro Vuotila (Teatterikone) and his daughter Peppi Vuotila—who have selected songs together that are perfect for Father’s Day weekend. Tickets are €10 and available from the Jyväskylä online store.

Tenorissimo: “Oi Jouluyö” Concert

The concert offers a chance to get into the Christmas spirit with beloved Christmas carols. Tickets are €10 in advance from the Jyväskylä online store or at the door on the day of the concert.

The concert is organized in collaboration with the Jyväskylä Parish and the City of Jyväskylä’s Cultural Services.
