Boil your drinking water in Jyskä - Vaajakoski area!

Tap water in Vaajakoski area must be boiled at least for 5 minutes before drinking. After boiling the water can be used also as it cools down.

Please note that for example for washing salad or other vegetables, which will be eaten raw, you have to use boiled water. Dishing is possible without boiled water, if you dry the dishes well. Also taking shower is possible, unless the water seems and smells unusual.

Water quality control revealed some e-coli bacteria in tap water in the examples taken on 19th August. Jyväskylä Energy has started chlorine treatments in Vaajakoski water network, and that is why the chlorine can be slightly tasted in the whole area.

Water must be boiled from Jyskä to Vaajakoski and in Haapaniemi, Kanavuori, Ruokosaari, Leppälahti, Oravasaari and Savio area.

In Asmalampi (north from Tammitie), Sulunperä, Tölskä and Hupeli water can be consumed as usual.
