French violinist Fanny Clamagirand’s concert with Sinfonia Finlandia Jyväskylä on Wednesday 29th of April

The evening’s concert with Sinfonia Finlandia Jyväskylä on Wednesday 29th of April is the beginning of an interesting new project with the orchestra and the famous young French violinist Fanny Clamagirand.

French violinist Fanny Clamagirand’s concert with Sinfonia Finlandia Jyväskylä on Wednesday 29th of April. In the concert she will perform Camille Saint-Saën’s Violin Concerto No.3, and in June 2009 the orchestra will record the three violin concertos by Camille Saint-Saën’s with Ms Clamagirand as soloist. We shall also enjoy the world premier of Jacques Desbriére’s composition “Variations sur un theme classique” and Ludwig van Beethoven’s very well-known Symphony No. 5 during the same concert.

The Symphony of Destiny, is linked to the words of Anton Felix Schindler, Beethoven’s biographer, who, invoking an explanation given by the composer refers to the first bars in part one of the symphony, stated: "That’s how destiny knocks on your door”.

The conductor is Patrick Gallois and the concert begins at 7 pm at the Jyväskylä City Theatre.
