The sister city photo exhibition “Rätsel” in the Konstmuseum of Eskilstuna 9 September - 7 October

“Rätsel is an enigma which prompts us to find a solution through communication and openness towards other people. In this way, Rätsel unites people from different cultures through their view of the world and their common way of finding the solution”.

Cross-cultural exhibition representing the new facets of the sister cities

Titled “Raetsel” (“puzzle” or “riddle” in English), the cross-cultural exhibition of the artist j-rom showcases six photo compositions, representing the new facets of the sister cities of Eskilstuna, Jyväskylä, Stavanger, Esbjerg, Erlangen and Linyi.

Riddles in English and in the language of the respective city, are integrated in each of the artworks. The concept of the exhibition is to build a bridge between cultures and languages.

Invitation to interact with the artworks

The exhibition invites people to interact with the artworks and with each other by searching together for the solution. Since 2006, the artist j-rom has created more than 30 photo compositions of 30 different cities.

The sister city exhibition will be shown at the Konstmuseum of Eskilstuna from 9th September for four
weeks.
