Recycling plastic raises interest – various ideas presented
The search for ideas on how to improve the circular economy under CIRCWASTE, a sub-project for user-based experiments in Jyväskylä, has ended, and the ideas continuing to the next round have been selected.
During the month, the project received a total of 48 ideas, a significant number of which involved new ways to sort plastic waste. Many ideas were also related to recycling material and utilising digitalisation.
The selected experiments will be implemented in the Jyväskylä region in 2017 and 2018. The subproject for user-based experiments is part of the CIRCWASTE project (2016–2023) funded by the EU LIFE+ programme and led by the Finnish Environment Institute. The aim of the project is to improve the circular economy in Finland.
