A creative campus in the facilities of the old Kangas paper mill in Jyväskylä

In January 2016, the Kangas area in Jyväskylä will become the home of a creative campus as parts of the organisations of Jyväskylä College, the Jyväskylä Institute of Adult Education and Humak University of Applied Sciences will move to the paper mill’s wing.
The wing section, which was completed in 1947, has been renovated, and district cooling and a solar power plant have been implemented as new, energy-efficient solutions.

Craftsmen and craftswomen as well as representatives of creative fields from the Jyväskylä College and the Jyväskylä Institute of Adult Education will move to the Kangas area. Approximately 30 members of the teaching staff and about 350 students will move to the campus. In addition to education leading to a degree, the Jyväskylä Institute of Adult Education will also offer further training and personnel training at the campus.
