New benefits for passengers in the public transport of the Jyväskylä region starting from 1 January 2016

The benefits apply to the green Linkki buses in the Jyväskylä region on bus lines 1–39 and 42.

  • From the beginning of 2016 onwards, a person with a child of three years of age or younger in a pram or stroller can ride on the Linkki buses in the city traffic without charge from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Those in a wheelchair can ride on buses in the city traffic without charge, without any time restrictions. The benefit applies to both the passenger in a wheelchair and one escort travelling with him or her.
  • An assistant or an escort travelling with a person who has received a disability classification based on injury, disability or other handicap may travel on local Linkki buses and in Jyväskylä’s Linkki VIP service traffic without charge from the beginning of 2016. The customer being escorted pays the standard price of the user group in question for the trip. The benefit only applies to travelling with season and value tickets of the Waltti system, not to the use of single tickets.

The public transport of the Jyväskylä region offers the Linkki local public transport services in the Jyväskylä, Laukaa and Muurame areas. The traffic services are organized by the city of Jyväskylä and the operator is Jyväskylän Liikenne Oy.
