All four- and six-year-olds living in Jyväskylä included in the SDQ wellbeing survey

Early education and maternity and child health clinics in Jyväskylä will work more closely together for the wellbeing of children. From now on, the wellbeing of all four- and six-year-old children will be evaluated using SDQ (Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire). In January, the evaluation will first be conducted for children born in 2010 and 2012.

Using the evaluation form, parents will evaluate the social skills, friendships, emotional skills, attentiveness and behavioural progress of their children. Parents will discuss the evaluations with the staff of day care centres. The wellbeing evaluation will continue when the children start school.
