Healthcare students will receive Hepatitis B vaccinations at Health Centre of Jyväskylä Cooperation Area's student healthcare in Jyväskylä

Healthcare students will receive a series of Hepatitis B vaccines free of charge as part of the national vaccination programme. The vaccine will be given to public health nursing, nursing, midwifery, laboratory nursing, practical nursing and dental hygienist students at the Jyväskylä Vocational Institute, Jyväskylä Educational Consortium and Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences.

Exchange students are not entitled to a vaccination free of charge.

If the student has previously received a series of three injections of Twinrix or Engerix B series, the immunity against Hepatitis B is in order.

The Hepatitis B vaccination series includes three injections at 0, 1 and 6 months. The vaccination dates for new and old students are:

  • 14.–18.9.2015 at 12–15.30 (1st vaccination)
  • 26.–30.10.2015 at 12–15.30 (2nd vaccination)
  • 4.–8.4.2016 at12–15.30 (3rd vaccination)

Place: Sepänkatu 3 B, ground level. No appointment is required on the scheduled vaccination dates.

The vaccine can also be given at student healthcare in connection with another appointment with a public health nurse.
